Students in the Speir Lab will receive extensive training in water chemistry analysis, foundational stream ecology methodology, outreach & education, and science communication. We also conduct regular year-round field work (approximately once per week). Additionally, students will have opportunities to attend national conferences and workshops to present data and enhance specific skillsets. If you're interested in joining the lab, email Dr. Speir ([email protected]) prior to applying to University of Arkansas. Please include a detailed description of your past research experience (if applicable) and why you'd like to join the lab, as well as the most recent copy of your curriculum vitae/resume. |
